If you say you're too old, then you've just aged a little more -confused

The October edition of the Duke has a bit of everything including some Halloween specials.
(Always looking for recommendations, don't be shy folks.)

All Hallow's Eve, October 31, is the eve of All Saints' Day. Halloween means "holy" or "hallowed" evening and the evening preceding all Saints' Day was actually a pagan celebration. It began in the 7th or 8th century after the spread of Christianity when saints were honored on All Saints' Day. Enemies of the church made fun of Christians by worshipping the devil on Halloween. "A little something special for Halloween - Our own Cassie has created an interesting tid-bit"
Fifty years ago, Paul Bardeen taught his children an easier, safer way to carve pumpkins. His kids grew up and launched a business. Now Pumpkin Masters is changing the way America carves pumpkins. "Pumkins need TLC also."
This site has a list of over 100 recipes for Halloween foods. "Would the pumkin be the basic ingredient here? Visit and find out, you will be surprised."
The Website of Michael Myers. "Who is Michael Myers? - asked the surfer. Halloween movies would be a hint. But I refuse to give you a hint - you'll just have to visit the site."
"Enough Halloween stuff. Here's an interesting site and there are probably more like it. It's an interesting way to discover the name of a tree." Extension Forestry: Identification of Common Trees of Iowa. This interactive key was developed to help identify the most common trees in Iowa. The key is based on vegetative characteristics such as leaves, fruits, and bark. It is not a complete key. It does not include all trees grown in Iowa. "Dogs need not visit."
The Association for Canada's mature lifestyle community, internet destination for Canadian seniors and people over 50. Online home of 50More the Canadian Mature Lifestyle Association, an interactive national organization open to membership of over 5 million Canadians. "More 50 stuff. A good site to bookmark and send to your Canuck friends."
If an infinite number of monkeys typed on an infinite number of computers for an infinite period of time, one of them would eventually duplicate this site. And then I'd sue. "The Evil Monkey site is a humourous place to visit. Guaranteed you will want to bookmark it."
Pure Illusion Fantasy - Sandy Groff: This site is dedicated to fantasy. Although my favorite creature featured here is the Unicorn , the site is expanding daily into other fantasy areas such as, dragons, pegasus, dinosaurs, angels and more. You will find only the BEST poems and photographs here. "The music on this site is worth listening to, Michael Walthius is an award winning midi master."
"...and another by Sandy..." Pure Illusion Arabians and Crossbreeds - Sandy Groff : This is all about my love and the pride of my life my soul mate and friend "Face the Music" my Arabian Stallion. He sees through my eyes and I through his, we truly have a bound like is rarely seen. God has blessed me with the ability to span the space between our worlds.
One of the best things about the world wide web is the availability of cool free stuff. There are more freebies out there than most of us will ever find. I (Sannah, from Sweden) search the web for the newest and best freebies, and list them all here. "Drop in and thank Sannah for the free stuff and say hello from the Duke in Swedish."
Shtick: Greetings people, Edirot here. This is a perfect time to hold a Shtick! retrospective. The concept is simple, yet elegant: Each contributor and feature is represented by one outstanding article. While you're strolling down memory lane, take a stroll through The Archives and judge for yourself. After 18 months or so of this stuff, once you take a step back and look at it all - it may not be genius, or even coherent, but there's something to this. "Huh? A site that requires lots of your time. Enjoy."
As always, to hear our unbelievably funny streaming audio featuring the best comedians in their best performances, click the big Listen NOW! button on the left. "A comedy site with a difference. Especially for those with fast access, but us lowly commoners will also enjoy it."
ScoutWorld is a look inside the life of Scout, a yellow Labrador retriever living the good life. "All the bells and whistles are used in this site. Worth a visit just for the presentation alone. However there is a nice doggy involved as well."
"Okay, one more on Halloween." Links to a collection of sites on vampires, witches and werewolves, ghosts, and haunted houses. Also includes scary tales and fun and games.
Welcome to KISSTHISGUY.COM, the only domain named after the world's most commonly misheard lyric (or is it? Click here for the full scoop on Hendrix and this mishearance.) "This site is fun to waste a few hours with and it's neat the way they use frames to play their game. Enjoy."
Lyrical Line is a resource for lyricists & songwriters. Have your songs critiqued by your peers or showcase 'em in the spotlite. "Ever try to write a song? This site will help you over the rough spots, teach you what not to do and then, and only then, can you say... not."
"Memory going? Can't remember the lyrics of those great old rock and roll songs? This site, called fiftiesweb.com will help." No trip down Memory Lane is complete without singing your favorite tunes. But for many of us Boomers, the lyrics are way, way on down that Lane. To make the journey more pleasant, I've added the Midi Music where I had it. All the songs you'll find here are from the Fifties. But, no Elvis tunes. Below you'll find two links. One is a site with nearly 700 Elvis lyrics and the other is a great site for '60s and '70s lyrics.
Visit The Handwriting Analysts Group: Handwriting analysis is a fascinating field and we are happy to have you browse through our Web Page. We have information for you including actual analyses and writing samples of prominent people. You can find reading material and schools to attend in order to become a Graphologist, or Handwriting Analyst. "Amazing what you can find out about yourself and anyone else that writes you a note."

That's all for this month folks - Enjoy
