COMPUTERS... 101 A computer
beat me at chess once. Computer software undergoes alpha testing as a first step in getting user feedback. Alpha is Latin for "doesn't work." If the automobile had followed the same development cycle as the computer, a Rolls-Royce today would cost $100, get a million miles to the gallon, and explode once a year, killing everyone inside. AGING.. 101 First old man: "You want to
go for a walk?" The balding, middle-aged
man asked his barber, "Why charge me the full price for cutting my
hair, there's so little of it." Thanks to http://www.oneliners-and-proverbs.com/ |

The great lie of the news media: "I am the public". |
| THE ONLY WAY TO COOK A TURKEY!!!!!!! This turkey is work... it requires more attention than an average six-month-old baby. There are no shortcuts, as you will see. This recipe was first contained in the manuscript of a book called 'The Naked Countess' which was given to the late Robert Benchley, who had eaten the turkey and was so moved as to write an introduction to the book. "This site is sponsored by 20/20 Technologies and has a lot more on the subject of Thanksgiving. You might want to review it all- once the turkey is in the oven. Thanksgiving day is October 11th for Canadians and November 28th for the USofA folks." | |

| The Iraq Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organization working for democracy and human rights in Iraq, and for a better international understanding of Iraq's potential as a contributor to political stability and economic progress in the Middle East. "Interesting data found on this website: Iraq has been a police state in the Stalinist model since July 1968, when Saddam Hussein and his collaborators seized power in the name of the Ba'th Party. The principal business of the Iraq government is domestic repression and aggressive militarism. Thus Iraq devoted 37.9% of its oil revenue to military expenditure in 1975, 75% in 1980, 177% in 1985, and 89% in 1989. What was that they said about following the money trail????" | |

| "PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE GOING THERE." A real haunted house. Apparently the owners of this house had been seeing images and hearing voices for quite a while. They did some research and found that a lady once lived in the house who lost her husband during the civil war. Legend says that she used to sit at the table and look across the fields in anticipation of her loved one returning home. He never came. So, they say she still waits. They caught this photo of what they claim to be her. This one was wild and a little spooky once you find the ghost in the picture. It took me a few seconds to find it, but when you do it just stands out. Like one of those optical illusions. To save you some time, concentrate around the table. Best not to focus too much on one spot. Look around the table and toward the window. Click on the link left for the picture. Best to enlarge. For an added touch turn up the volume, it's faint but you can hear the ghost talking sometimes in a low murmur. "You have to look at this for at least 2-3 minutes for your eyes to adjust!! Good luck finding the ghost!! Blame Cassie for this one." | |
