The following few pages are examples of Jim's websites.

Hopefully they may assist you in your research. Please feel free to visit any or all of them.

In the right column, the times, in approx. hours, refer to the accumulated amount used in developing the total website.

These times are not very accurate as, with most of the jobs, time was not a consideration. However, you might find them helpful for budget preparation.

{the website is your image}

This site requires monthly changes, it's neat and doesn't break the bank.

My home town, the Village of Burk's Falls in Ontario. Not a very large village, about 900 folks. No stop lights, no parking meters, but everything one needs to live the good life. Their website provides a flash-photo-journey through town, includes; events, highlights council meetings, by-laws, provides business links, monthly Council minutes and regular notices. A great resource, especially since we are located in the heart of cottage country. Our out-of-town-cottage owners can readily and easily communicate. Just because you're tiny doesn't mean your image has to indicate it -and your website is your image!

{photos can tell your story}

No matter when you visit them, you always get a candy cane.

Huntsville, Ontario has a Christmas store, and believe it or not, it is very busy in the summer months when the tourists abound by the thousands. This website speaks volumes by using photos. It's a true and tested concept when you think about it. We all have heard that a picture is worth a thousand words, and at the Christmas Tyme website, all you have to do is soak up the photographic ambience while the message comes through -subtly clear.
There is also a brief Flash welcoming you to their store.

{24/7 sales assistant}

This site would run about $600 -but necessary only once. ROI superb!

This steel roof and siding company needed a way to cover their vast area through-out mid and northern Ontario and a website was their choice of action. Spirit-Barr's website includes product profiles, colours, and instructions which makes it very handy for directing phone calls, and emails. How simple can it be to cover vast areas and relay information to your clients, not to mention, enhancing your company's image.
Another major feature is the money they now save in advertising. By using smaller ads, but including their website URL, they tell a fuller story by using a 24/7 sales assistant.

{ambiance via creativity}

This book is still in the publisher's hands, I'll let you know when it's out.

You can write a book, you can have a book published, and by using a website you can pro-actively reach the public. Author B. J. Boltauzer has accomplished exactly that with this website. Even though his novel is on sale at Chapters, and other major book stores, the author of "The False Prophets" has taken the extra step by having a website dedicated to the presentation of his thrilling new novel.
Using the novel's synopsis, it was quite effortless to create the many graphics to symbolize his story, and at the same time, enhancing the ascetical theme of the novel. The creative mind can accomplish a dandy website.

PPM Resources Inc is a consulting company and to get their message out to their clients and prospective clients required a thoughtfully planned progression of ideas while still allowing room to add more resource information in the future. What few graphics within this website relays their image and portrays their message instantly. The owner supplied the content in an inspiring way so that I was able to save a lot of time normally spent on designing. approx.

Artisans of Muskoka is a gift, art and craft retail outlet with an amazing assortment of product. With over 200 artisans displaying their work and art, one can spend hours touring the place and you will discover the perfect gift for that impossible person to buy for. Their website story is told mainly through photos of the inside of their store which are stitched together so you can appreciate the total ambience. approx.

This site was made in 1998 and is still going strong, what a great ROI. The Wooden Roo is a very unique establishment, making fine furniture, custom and otherwise, and their showroom is packed full of pleasant surprises with interesting gifts, art and mementos of a holiday in the north. You may guess that there is a connection with the good folk down-under as you are welcomed with a g'day mate!.
